Change the Email Associated with Your Account.
There may come a time when you need to change the email address that you have associated with your HomeLight Listing Management account. For example, if you are changing firms and have a new email address from which you conduct your business.
How It's Done
Step 1- Log in to HomeLight Listing Management
You'll want to use the current email address and password to sign in to your account.
Step 2- Go to Settings
Click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the screen and select the "Settings" option that appears in the drop-down menu.
Step 3- Your Profile
Under your profile information, you can find the email associated with your account. Select the edit option in this field to start the update process.
Step 4- Enter the New Email Address
When entering the new email address and hit save. You'll want to be sure that you have access to the inbox as you will need to confirm the change.
Once you hit save you'll see a notification prompting you to go to your new email inbox to complete the update.
Step 5- Confirm Your New Email Address
An email will be sent to your new email inbox. Click the link in the email to confirm. The confirmation email link will expire after 30 minutes.
Once you have confirmed your new email, you will want to be sure that when you sign in to your HomeLight Listing Management account you are using the new email. All packages will remain in your account and if you are a Pro or Brokerage user you will still have access to the Pro features.
Q: Does changing my email change my password?
- A: No, your password will remain the same. If you needed to update your password this help article will show you how to get that done: Resetting Your Password
Q: I have two accounts how do I get them merged?
- A: We DO NOT merge accounts on HLM. However, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance and provide the old email address and your preferred email address.
Q: I am trying to update my email but there is an error that says "This email is taken!" what do I do?
- A: You may have previously created an account with this email address and it is already registered in our system. Please email us at email@example.com for assistance.
